February 20, 2011 - RYMI 26th Anniversary
The ministry held its 26th Anniversary after Pag-Ibig Church’s Sunday Worship. Our theme for the year is “One Master, One Message, One Mission” focusing on unity in the church and in our ministry. The program started with the presentation of the board of trustees. This was followed by presentations starting with Pastor Rodney Garcia rapping and the Youth dancing to He’s Gonna Rock This House. The youth followed with a short skit “All 4 One”. Long time ministry friends Jieno Cacho and Louie Oca rendered songs. They were joined by their spouses Nancy and Josed respectively. Rey and Gigi Bañez joined the 2 couples. It was a treat seeing them and hearing them sing together. The numbers ended with the youth dancing to “Shackles”. Then, the ministry’s photo journal for 2010 was presented in video. Bags of groceries and goods were distributed to all who came. Finally, a sumptuous meal was served to everyone.
February 10-11, 2011
RYMI staff Veron Cruz & Fe Cabrera attended the Youth Development Conference organized by the Church of God, at the ACCM Building. Veron enrolled in children’s module while Fe took up the youth module. They left with new knowledge that could be used and shared with our volunteers.

The Hands to Street Kids program (HSK) resumed today after the Christmas break. Participating children registered for this year by filling up an intake form containing personal and family information which the ministry uses in evaluating ways to help them. Kids were very glad to see their teachers after a long break. In the afternoon,we formally opened a new service area for HSK at Pasig Line, Sta.Ana. We distributed slippers to kids in Sunrise area (another distribution was held at Ponte area on the 22nd). After teaching, all staff and volunteers came together for a general membership meeting. Everyone was reminded of ministry policies and procedures and the ministry's schedule of activities for 2011 was presented. The meeting ended with a renewal of commitment for all volunteers.
