ADULTS VALUE FORMATION PROGRAM (AVF)
Program History
Some parents of the children helped by the Ministry have recognized the positive changes in the attitudes and habits of the children and have experienced the benefits of those changes. Consequently, they have realised their own need for positive changes. In 1990, at their request, a program based on the unchanging Holy Scriptures, adapted to their level, was begun and now these men and women have become our agents of help in their communities. In 2001, the first batch of volunteer teachers from the ranks of the Adult Value Formation students were trained and commissioned in the Hands to Street Kids program.
Program Clients
Adult men and women from 22 years old and above coming from poor, depressed communities.

Integrated into the program are one or any combination of the following services:
How You May Help in the Adult Value Formation Program
Christmas Hamper Project
Every Christmas season, bags containing a combination of different items such as rice, canned meat (like meat loaf, corned beef, vienna sausage), canned sardines and tuna, instant noodles, sugar, coffee, powdered milk, juice and energy drinks, bath soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, laundry bars and detergents, some clothing and other items a poor family can use are prepared and distributed to the AVF students during their Christmas party.
You may participate by contributions in cash or in kind. If you are in business, you can help by contributing your products (including promo items) for the hamper or give us a discount.

Services Provided

- Value Formation Program – includes instructions on character formation and value clarification, based on Biblical principles, geared towards them taking responsibility for their lives. Individual counselling is also provided.
- Feeding Program – provides food to adults who participate in the Value Formation class in selected locations.
- Physical Well-being Program – provides basic goods like food, clothing, toiletries, and other necessities to adult clients and their families, as supplies allow.
How You May Help in the Adult Value Formation Program
- Volunteering as a regular teacher in an area.
- Helping us document the program (ex. Photos and video)
- Helping us during special events in kitchen, physical arrangements, etc.
